Macelleria Asciutto

A family butcher in the heart of Collesano, on Via Roma. The Asciutto family describes itself as breeders and selectors of Madonie meats over three generations, and its hand-painted ceramic sign dates the shop “dal 1943”. Rather than simply reselling, they raise and hand-pick their own livestock on the mountain pastures of the Madonie — the region's prized source of well-marbled, full-flavoured meat. Expect local beef, pork and lamb, house-made sausages and cuts: the quality the trattorie nearby put on the grill. The same family also runs the town's MAX supermarket.
